In a Google Search of Tai Chi Utah, TaijiUtah.org hardly existed, until 2/08/2009. We made it into the top 50. It’s sort of surprising because we don’t strive to use the cryptic and out-dated T’ai-chi Chüan, at least not on purpose, on this site.

If you’d like to author an article, you’re welcome to use it, but you should know the difference. Dragon Studios explains that Taijiquan is:

Romanized as T’ai Chi Ch’uan, or simply Tai Chi

It’s the Wade-Giles Romanized version though, so it’s a bit like using English measurements instead of Metric measurments. A quick note taken from Wikipedia reveals that Taijiquan is the International Standards Version…

Pinyin, more formally Hanyu pinyin, is the most commonly used Romanization system for Standard Mandarin….Developed by a government committee in the People’s Republic of China, the system was initially approved by the Chinese government on February 11, 1958. The International Organization for Standardization adopted pinyin as the international standard in 1979, and since then it has been adopted by many organizations worldwide. [emphasis added]

…as we say in Utah. With a mere two articles up on the site, we rank number one in Google for Taiji Utah.

It may seem easy with our name TaijiUtah.org, but Google Rank is tough to get and tough to keep. Today, we topped out four Big Tai Chi Schools:

Tomorrow one or more will rank above us. We hope so…this site serves to promote their work and the work of all Utah Tai Chi Schools, Instructors, etc. By listing their links here, we hope they get more traffic, and, ultimately, that they push aside our Google rank at TaijiUtah.org
